LilyJAZZ

Read about the development of this font in the LilyPond Forum Archives. Unfortunately, the designer of this font has somehow vanished off the face of the planet :(

So, if you happen to find him or come in contact with him, please let the rest of us know!

The LilyJAZZ family of fonts actually contains two supplementary text fonts designed for hand-written scores:

LilyJAZZText - The main text font.
LilyJAZZChord - A special font designed for easier chord name construction.

These two fonts SHOULD be put in the usual system font location. If you want to use the provided stylesheet, then these two fonts will be required.

Font Usage

To use the font globally, put the following (minimal) code at the top of your .ly file:

    \paper { #(define fonts (set-global-fonts #:music "lilyjazz" #:brace "lilyjazz" #:roman "LilyJAZZText" #:sans "LilyJAZZChord" #:factor (/ staff-height pt 20) )) }
  

NOTE: The #:factor (/ staff-height pt 20) argument is only needed if you are working at staff-height other than 20pt.
